PFPS Google Earth Tool v1.0 Complete (contains NGA Icons, Manual, and Samples)

This .ZIP file contains the complete version 1.0 of the PFPS Google Earth Tool. It does not include an installer--simply unzip the files to a desired location on your hard drive or a memory stick. Please note that the program requires Microsoft .NET 2.0 to function and Google Earth to view the .KML files it produces. Both these programs are available below. This version includes NGA icons, a manual, and sample files. For a leaner version, please download PFPS Google Earth Tool v1.0 Basic below.

PFPS Google Earth Tool v1.0 Basic
This is the lean-and-mean version. It does not include a manual, samples, or the NGA icons. All features will work except for the NGA icon libraries.

For those who already have the Basic version, here is the separate Manual. This is included in the Complete version.

PFPS Google Earth Tool v1.1 Source Code
This is the full source code for the program. It was written in Microsoft C# 2.0, and is compatible with any .NET language. It includes three assemblies: (1) the application (2) a custom control library that serves the application and (3) a conversion library that does the hard work of loading PFPS objects and converting them to .KML. The conversion library is designed to be completely independent of PFPS Google Earth Tool. Other users can use the library to add PFPS/KML functionality to their own application. There is a file in the "Reference Documents" folder of the .ZIP that contains some basic documentation. NOTE: the source code is version 1.1, but the program functions exactly the same as 1.0. The only differences are some cleaning up of the code.

This code is open source and can be used freely. My only request is that you credit me in your work.

PFPS Google Earth Tool requires Microsoft .NET 2.0 to run. .NET is an emerging new technology from Microsoft and is a core component of Microsoft Windows. It is difficult to describe exactly what .NET is, but think of it as an insulation layer between Microsoft Windows and an application that does a lot of the hard work for the programmer. Microsoft's vision is that all new software will run on .NET within the next few years. .NET is likely already installed on your PC, since it is normally installed during routine Windows updates. If you do not have .NET installed (which will lead to an error message when you try running PFPS Google Earth Tool) you may download it here.
